How To Be Saved
By Rev. Eddie R Driver

ACKNOWLEDGE—admit to be true.
YOUR SINS—All unrighteousness. Romans 3:23, For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.

REPENT—To be godly sorry—sorry enough to quit wrong doing.  Acts 3:19, Repent ye therefore, and be converted that your sins may be blotted out.

CONFESS—Admit, own, reveal 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

FORSAKE—Quit, give up, leave entirely alone once and for all, be willing for God to take all desire for sin away from you.  Isaiah 55:7, Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts, and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God for he will abundantly pardon.

BELIEVE—To rely on, to faith and confidence in, to put yourself into the hands of another.  Romans 10:9, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Acts 16:31, And they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thy house.

ACCEPT—Take, receive, to welcome claim. John 1:12, But as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.

John 6:37, All that the Father giveth me shall come to me, and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Christ must be received personally into the heart by faith, if the experience of the new birth is to be yours.

Rev. 3:20, Behold, I stand at the door and knock, if any man (this means you) hear my voice and open the door, I will come into him and will sup (abide) with him and he with me.

Luke 12:8, Whosoever shall confess before men, him shall the son of man also confess before the angels of God.
