HOW TO STAY SAVED

 

COUNT SOME OF YOUR BLESSINGS--Now that you have received the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, you have had a definite transaction with him and He has received you!

 

• You have become a child of God.  John 1:12, But as many as received Him, to them gave He power (or the privilege) to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.

• Your sins are forgiven.  Acts 10:3, To Him give all the prophets witness, that through His name whosoever believeth in Him shall receive remission of sins.

• You have passed from death to life.  John 5:24, Verily, verily I say unto you he that heareth my word, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

 

DON’T do anything that will not glorify God. 1 Cor. 10:31.

DON’T try to discover how little Christ will accept, but how much. 1 Cor. 4:10.

The best man is an unsafe example so follow Jesus. Jer. 17:5.

SEEK at once power from on high. Luke 24:49, Acts 2:39, 4:31

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD NOW DO AS A CHILD OF GOD

• You should be baptized. Acts 10:48, And he commanded them to be bapitized in the name of the Lord.

• You should read your Bible daily.  Psalms 119:11. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might nit sin against Thee.

• Spend time in His presence praising and praying. Luke 18:1, Men ought always to pray and faint not.

• When conscious of having failed Him, confess it.  1 John 1:9. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins.

• Be a witness to others. Acts 1:8. Ye shall be witness.

• Meet regularly with other Christians.  Heb. 10:25. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together.

• Fill your life with good works. Titus 3:8
